What did you name your computer?

I name mine after the dragon aspects from Warcraft lore. Main rig is Neltharion, homeserver box is Ysera, HTPC is Malygos and the other box is Alexstraza.

I named mine after the case's product line name; Obsidian. Way easier to identify the computer on a network when it has a unique name and if you're into building/modding it's going to happen eventually

Mine is called "Martin-PC". Really cool, right?

My laptop is called "Martin-laptop", my phone is "Martin-phone" my tablet is "Martin-tablet" etc.

My storage devices on the other hand... They are named after anime characters and are related to how big chest the character has. Bigger capacity = named after character with bigger chest.

 

Just pick a theme and stick with it. Planets, Greek alphabet, Disney characters, classic games, Shakespeak characters, Zelda enemies, natural phenomenons related to space (like "Aurora", "Penumbra" etc), elements etc.

Namimg a pc is not stupid as long as it doesn't has a ridiculous name like you mentioned. Maybe a combination of code and number. XT 1500, or some sort, that is what companies do.

mine is "Good Computer" when it is working perfect and so far in the almost 2 months I have had it built it has been " good computer" When one of my computers acts up it is whatever 4 letter word I feel like calling it that day lol. I really just call my desk top my main system and my laptop the laptop, maybe if I was like some of you guys and had 15 computers I would name them all.

I name my desktops Zero because they die so much. My most recent desktop was Zero IV.

 

I name my Routers after support units.

 

My routers are Beat, Treble, and Yoshi(for my DS and Wii).

Don't really have one, but if I did it might be Smokey. Why you might ask. Well this motherboard has started smoking twice now running on two cracked capacitors and burnt/melted solders. Still don't know how long it'll last. Hopefully till summer to upgrade again.
