i would go with intel BUT i doubt you need that quad core i7.

And what about the integrated graphics difference between both? one with hd 4000 vs the r7 of the 7300?

for rendering yeah sure you will benefit from an quad core but its all price range , I am also getting a laptop for similar use and i picked a dual core with ht i5 at 2.5ghz but with a nvidia graphics card so i could benefit from cuda acceleration in most of the apps i will use.
