building a pc for 1st time need feedback

Basically just want to build a pc mainly to be able to run fifa 15's new ignite engine smoothly and maybe some other games like BF4, GTA V, and Watch dogs on med/high settings on 1080p if possible if not just fifa. I've done some research online and I'm not computer savvy but I have a bit of an idea. This is what I've come up with: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/grrWzy. If anyone can build something better for under/around $600 please feel free to do so. Thanks in advance

recommended specs for fifa:

  • OS: Windows V/7/8/8.1 -64-bit
  • CPU: Intel i5-2550K @ 3.4Ghz
  • RAM: 8GB
  • Hard Drive Space Required: 15.0 GB
  • Supported Video Cards: ATI Radeon HD 6870, NVIDIA GTX 460
  • DirectX: 11.0

BF4 and GTA 5 is going to be really demanding. You need at least $1000.

Wouldn't recommend a graphics card for FIFA. I can run FIFA 14 ultra settings 1080p on my iGPU on the 4790k (my gtx 780 is being RMA'ed).

Since BF4 and GTA V supports mantle then AMD GPU is no brainer and allows you to skimp a little bit on CPU power. That will allow you to get a really beefy GPU.

(Friend has R9 280 with first gen AMD APU on FM1 socket and it works wonderfully well while playing Witcher 2 max settings so I dont see any major bottlenecks here especialy when mantle will be enabled).

GPU: R9 280

CPU: Athlon 760k

CPU Cooler: HyperEVO 212 (if you dont plan on OC stock cooler will be fine and then you can afford to get better case or just save money).

RAM: 2x4GB G.Skill Ripjaw X Series 1600MHz

HDD: 1TB Seagate Barracuda Advanced Format

PSU: Corsair CX600

Case: Zalman ZM-T3

MoBo: Gigabyte GA-F2A88XM-HD3 micro ATX

+ TP link card and CM keyboard you choosed.

Total: $611

yes but that doesn't have the ignite engine which is more demanding. it'll be coming to pc this year. would it still work?

I don't think so. I doubt the ignite engine will be too demanding so just get a basic entry level card like a 750 ti.
