Video idea: PCIe 1.0, 2.0, and 3.0 differences and compatibility.

AnAngryOctopus

I see a lot of people ask the question if their shiny new PCIe 3.0 graphics card is compatible with their slightly older motherboard that has PCIe 2.0.

The simple answer is yes, and there also seems to be a lot as to what extent it will work on the 2.0 slot, and I think this is probable cause for a video to help clarify the differences and also highlight compatibility between devices (Graphics card, PCIe SSD, Thunderbolt interface, etc...) if there are any true problems.

Feel free to shoot holes in this all you want, just a "first thing in the morning" idea I happened to come across.

Do you know how many topics are made each month asking if their PCIe 3 card works on a 2 slot?

Way too damn many.

Totally possible, and if so, my mistake.
