Thalmic Labs Myo Gesture Control Armband

tacmiud

So this thing is pretty cool.

https://www.thalmic.com/en/myo/

Basically the idea is that the armband receives the electrical signals going to your muscles and uses these to allow you to control technology through gestures. The Thalmic site has a cool video showing potential uses for it (some, if not all of those, are mockups), but there is videos of it actually in use here:

Thoughts?

Looks awesome on the video but who knows how it will perform in real life. Also it would have been better if it was a wrist band rather than an arm band.

The stone cannot know why the chisel cleaves it; the iron cannot know why the fire scorches it. When thy life is cleft and scorched, when death and despair leap at thee, beat not thy breast and curse thy evil fate, but thank the Builder for the trials that shape thee.

Firstly it's in the wrong section and secondly you joined 12 minutes ago and your first post is about a product which make me think your advertising your own/friends/clients product which is against CoC.

1) I thought this counted as news

2) I thought this would be an interesting topic for discussion. I can't prove to you that I'm not advertising, but I will tell you I'm not...

EDIT: I saw this on George Takei's Facebook page, so..

Yeah, mockups (which is annoying but it gives an idea). The other article has a video of a guy using to play Ghosts which looks more real.
