Yes. It isn't bad. You basically feel the vibration in your ear canals. Honestly if you have ever worked with power tools, and have used an impact driver, you would know the feeling I am describing.  ;)

You can tell me it feels like the most comfortable thing ever and I'd still be unsettled by the thought of someone cutting through my teeth.

Funny thing is when I got mine removed I was basically freaked out as well. I think the local anesthesia or the sodium-hypo chloride(salt water that helps blood coagulate) rinse aid has some sort of soothing effect.

To be honest, once I got to the operating room and had to lay on the chair, my heart rate went through the roof.

As for why I had my lower wisdom teeth removed: they were impacted and growing sideways inside of my gum.

When i was 25 i had to get one taken out. I just went to the dentist and he gave me a shot of novocaine or what ever cocaine derivative it was and that side of my mouth got numb and then he extracted. In five minutes it was out, he gave me the pamphlet on dos and don'ts and then described the dos and don'ts. I said yeah buddy i got it and peace out. I went home played with my baby cousin then went and played some football(soccer)

I had all of mine take out at once. I was knocked out during so I didn't feel a thing. I was so loopy from the medicine I thought my mom was a spy and was trying to kidnap me.... I tried to escape the waiting room in a wheelchair and then I tried to tell my mom I was going good to drive home lol. But I wasn't in pain enough to take the pain pills. Just make sure you have plenty of soft food. Mashed potatoes are awesome! And make sure to clean out your mouth with salt water

I have to get up bright and early to go and get my wisdom teeth out. I took anxiety medicine which helped because I had to take it, lol. I'll be on so many drugs I won't feel anything. Anyways, have you ever gotten your wisdom teeth out? What was your experience?

2 upper ones with no surgery needed. I had my lower ones pop but they ain't causing me anything, think the braces did some of the work when I was young. Doc told me you need a surgery for them, and I was, yeah when they hurt me, I will visit you again.

And good luck tomorrow bud.

Usually it's only a big deal when they are impacted... and to what degree.

I had my two uppers out because my upper jaw is so big that they don't even touch the lower wisdom teeth, and do nothing except make it harder to floss back there. I laid down on the chair, and my dentist pulled each one out without freezing in about 3 seconds.

The important part is following their instructions on not using straws and whatnot so you don't get a dry socket.

I always guarantee that no more than 50% of what I say is useful.

When you wake, it's weird. Your face is stuffed with packing and you're a bit confused. Follow the direction as to not get a dry socket. I had 10(YES TEN! Dentist said I had shark genetics.) wisdom teeth pulled when I was 16 plus one offset tooth that added character. I was a bit disappointed that they pulled that one. I have great, straight teeth, and that one wasn't causing any problems. My jaw hasn't been right since. They must've had to crank my jaw open to get the teeth far back. As lkong as it's a common amount to be pulled, you should have no issues.

I got mine out a while back. doc gave me little blue pills to help with the anxiety. yeah they didnt work. I strutted in there and told them I was ready. they were slightly concerned cause I was too excited. I get stuck in the chair. doc walks in and gives me 8 injections. mouth is kinda swelling now and I cant feel anything. what was nice, is while the doc was waiting for the numbing to take affect, the nurse was stroking my head. oh and all the nurses in the office, smoking hot! so the doc walks back in and said, alright, lets do this. he flips on the radio to our local rock station, Metallica was playing. so I thought to myself, "so this is how its gong to go down. Im ok with this." I like rock music and the station so I was content. the operation lasted about 45 minutes and I was awake for the entire process. it didnt suck really. there was alot of pressure and some sounds but there was no pain. the nurse was just the sweetest thing taking care of me in all. so he finished up and I get wheeled out cause you know, you are not allowed to walk out. I did walk to the car though. so thats my wisdom teeth experience.

hydro codeine doesnt work for me so I took Advil. I have taken Oxycontin before which had some effect but I just couldnt really function on that stuff.

All 4 of my wisdom teeth are grown in with nearly no crowding, so there was no need to remove mine.

Since you're going to be drugged all day tomorrow, I would just not bother going to sleep, it should make sobering up easier since you'll be sleeping through most of it.

Of course they were, your trolling is so perfected your jaw has to expand to compensate.

yeah it wasnt bad. now if you want some painful dental surgery go get an apicoectomy done. yup. google it. theres even a video of the real procedure. I had that procedure done last year. one of my teeth experienced trama and took a few years to die so when it did It created an absest behind the root of the tooth. had a root canal done with no injections or pain killers. didnt feel anything cause the tooth was already dead. that root canal was done to release pressure as the infection was causing me severe pain and I was on vacation at the time. the major surgery came later when the injection was not healing.

Local anesthetic, 2 bottom wisdom teeth - there's no room for any to grow on the top since my last molars are at the end of my upper jaw -, and my legs were shaking as they removed them even though my mouth was numb-ish - not every area was covered in anesthesia, unfortunately. I went home, recovered a bit, ended up with an infection, went back, had the site pumped - painful as hell -, went home again, and done. I think my top incisors were "moved" since I think they used to touch my bottom ones in a slight overbite way; now, they don't.

I recently noticed 2 of my teeth started to get slighty crooked but I never felt a damn thing, sure thing the first wisdom fucker is coming out. Unless my teeth get too malformed or it starts hurting I'm not taking them out or anything because chances are a dentist is going to tell me "yep all this shit is rotten we're removing half your fucking teeth" just to bill me the fuck up when I have perfectly fine teeth that don't hurt and work just fine.

And no I don't plan on being and old man so don't you worry.

I've still got all 4 of mine.. No real discomfort or cheek biting going on so i'll keep them for a while longer.

Besides.. In sweden it's only local anesthesia. They won't put you to sleep during any procedure.. And im not feeling up to it at the moment

the worse part of it all was the phantom pains. they had to cut the gum nerve in order to project the gum so for the next 6-10 months I had phantom pains. they would come and go but when I did have them I just wanted to die.

Good lord... thankfully I never had to go through something like that... just the thought of a root canal scares me.

root canals arent bad. pretty quick procedure. I have had a total of 3 done on two teeth. two on that absest tooth. quick and dirty one, and a proper one when I got to a professional.

Hmm... I remember my dad saying that when he had his teeth removed, they dug out the nerves.

Hence, "blood diamond". It's probably one of the many tactics used to hide diamonds to sell them. In Metal Gear Solid V, blood diamonds are involved and some of them are literally made out of "blood" - the ashes of the fallen soldiers.

I hope I don't have to do even one.... I'm a wuss when it comes to dental related stuff.
