Mine haven't came through yet but they are growing. I had a slight infection in my bottom left tooth and the dentist gave me antibiotics to ease it. Apart from that I hope they're going to come through okay - I get really sentimental about keeping things, and I wouldn't want to get rid of a part of my body... I have the neatness of my mum's teeth and the strength of my dad's though, so hopefully I'll be okay ^_^

I had braces at the time and I had to get all 4 wisdom teeth removed or else I'd have braces for another year.

Definitely worth it though: I got knocked out and I woke up in a wheelchair. And then I woke up again at home 12 hours later. Didn't take my pain meds or anything and I could eat solid food about 3 days after surgery.

Surgery and meds affect everyone differently, but if you have the time, just stay in bed for at least a day. It definitely helps speed up the healing process.

I've just get my 2 wisdom teeth removed recently. Upper left can be pulled out so no problem there. Took maybe 5-10 min. But the lower one is horizontal impacted so the doctor had to cut the gum and separated the tooth into small section so it can be pulled out. That one took about 45 min. the doctor gave me a local anesthesia which make me feel pretty weird, lol. but it was cool though, no pain at all.

After the surgery, the swollen will vary from people to people. If your case is hard to remove, it's probably going to be swollen. But if it's easy, shouldn't be a problem. About Ice pack and Heat pack, first 24 hr, applied ice pack to reduced swollen and after 24 hr, use heat pack instead. It will make your heal faster. Also, some doctor will prescribe a medicine for you but if they don't, I'd recommended a Ibuprofen (mg depend on weight so yeah, you might have to ask pharmacist). Take it every 4 hour at least 3-4 days. That helps a lot.

I have to get up bright and early to go and get my wisdom teeth out. I took anxiety medicine which helped because I had to take it, lol. I'll be on so many drugs I won't feel anything. Anyways, have you ever gotten your wisdom teeth out? What was your experience?

It wasn't my wisdom teeth but oral surgery of a different kind. Needless to say they sit you down, chat you up and let you know what they are going to be doing. If you opt for gas they will give you gas. if you just take the Novocaine then you are awake during it but the area is numb. I ended up taking the gas. I am not sure what cocktail they gave me, but i ended up freaking out thinking they stole my testicles. They told me they did nothing of the sort. So i decided to check for myself. Reaching into my drawers i proceeded to count. 1...2..3.. yep all there. The nurses eyes became saucers and her jaw dropped. Doctor just shaking his head. I also hit on the nurse, fell out of my wheelchair, and went against their warnings and decided to go to McDonalds.. best damn big mac i ever had.
