This is for both water and air, but I had to choose a spot, so I chose here. I'm kind of curious what you guys think the best cooler would be for a 4690K for under $80. I will be overclocking (obviously), and I would prefer to have a AIO, but I will be limited since I will have an NZXT Source 210.

You can definitely find a NH-D14 in that price range. That or the Dark Rock Pro 3. Either of these will outperform AIO liquid coolers in that price range and look wayyyy more cool :P

From earlier:

My two cents on the H80i is: don't buy.

It offered very little performance (3c at best) increase over my 212 but made a racket (unless you put the stock fans at full pelt in which case it will perform quite a bit better). Not very good price/cooling performance ratio.

I think the H105 might be a better investment if you want to watercool.

212 gets my vote, if it's a similar price the 412S is also good. It cools about the same but can achieve the performance at lower RPMs.

AIO = H105 only :P

NH-D15 best air cooler but no idea if it fits your case.

You are better off getting an air cooler, the AiO are great, but those with 240mm+ radiators are the only one worth it.

On your budget the best options are Thermalright Silver Arrow, Be Quiet Dark Rock 3, Phanteks PH-TC14PE, Noctua NH-D14 and GamerStorm Assassin, if you want to spend another extra $10 the NH-D15, Dark Rock Pro 3 and Cryorig R1 come in the scene.

If I could get a video card that would fit and was supported by Windows 7, I would get it. It's actually pretty fast.

Better than the my first computer by far. Windows' benchmarking program is awful anyway lol. ;P I'm surprised you didn't break the OS

haha But, it does tell you kinda of what my Pentium 4 and RAM think of Windows 7.

dat windows experience score
