Posted July 4, 2014 So I'm gonna need a cheap laptop for web browsing, school etc. So I need someone to hopefully help me find a good Chromebook. I need some input on if it's gonna work well or not? I don't have much experience with Chromebooks but I like Chrome and It seems like it's all I'll be needing in a laptop. Simple, Cheap, and does Everything I need. I've been looking at these two: Acer C720P Touchscreen Chromebook http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00H7WF22K/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER HP ChromeBook 11 http://www.amazon.com/HP-Chromebook-11-White-Blue/dp/B00FJXVRM8/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1404455998&sr=8-1&keywords=hp+chromebook+11 Gaming Rig - Excalibur - CPU: i5 6600k @ 4.1GHz, CPU Cooler: Hyper 212 Evo, Mobo: MSI Gaming M3 RAM: 16GB Corsair @2400MHz, GPU: EVGA 1060, Case: NZXT Phantom Full Tower (Red) My Virtualization Server - Dell R710: 2x X5570s @ 2.93GHz with 32GB DDR3 RAM [Web Server, OSX, Plex, Reverse Proxy] I love computers, gaming, coding, and photography! Posted July 4, 2014 Well for school I would go with the one that has the longest battery life but still it's only 7.5 hours.. uhh, I don't see the appeal in these chromebooks, I would rather spare money for like a dell. You can install Linux on them. That is the appeal. Then it is amazing. I should be studying.
 I would take one of the Windows laptops and install Linux on it. I would take Linux over Windows. It performs better on lower end hardware and is just much better for getting work done than Windows for me. I only have Windows for gaming. I should be studying. Otherwise I'd get that one.
