Best Chromebook under $300

1823alex

So I'm gonna need a cheap laptop for web browsing, school etc. So I need someone to hopefully help me find a good Chromebook. I need some input on if it's gonna work well or not? I don't have much experience with Chromebooks but I like Chrome and It seems like it's all I'll be needing in a laptop. Simple, Cheap, and does Everything I need.

I've been looking at these two:

Well for school I would go with the one that has the longest battery life but still it's only 7.5 hours.. uhh, I don't see the appeal in these chromebooks, I would rather spare money for like a dell.

You can install Linux on them. That is the appeal. Then it is amazing.

I should be studying.

It has usb ports. I would take one of the Windows laptops and install Linux on it. I would take Linux over Windows. It performs better on lower end hardware and is just much better for getting work done than Windows for me. I only have Windows for gaming.

I should be studying.

My mom has the Acer V5 Aspire looks just like the V3, I'd get the same one but I noticed that the display is a bit blurry and I don't like it very much. Otherwise I'd get that one.
