So I'm not a "big" BF player, but really want to get into it after I get my GPU. I watch videos on it sometimes and entered the hardline beta and enjoyed it a lot! Though I've heard that BF4 is very similar to Hardline and that the only really big difference is the cops and robbers theme. I'm not sure just to get bf4 just now and play it over the holidays or wait until October and get hardline? BF4 currently cost £29.99 and to pre-order hardline it would cost me £50 so is it worth it? Or should I just wait?

The Worth of a game depends on the person wand what kind of games their into, If you know anyone who has the game, ask them to borrow or play their to see what you think. Or.....find another mean of obtaining the game to see if you like it then delete it, then buy it if you like, no harm their.

BF4 and Hardline are nothing alike, let's just get that out of the world now. Personally I enjoyed the two gamemodes we got to play in the Hardline beta a lot more than I enjoy conventional Battlefield gamemodes, and in my opinion you have to decide for yourself what you want. If you're into huge maps where you pretty much have to sit in a vehicle to win go with BF4, if on the other hand (like me) you like more infantry heavy play with very engaging gamemodes wait for Hardline.

I enjoyed hardline but you cant say they dont have any similarities. The core isnt quite the same and you can tell that, but the issue that everyone is having is they expect a  totally different experience. Which in this case they have too many similarities to change the experience to suite the consumer.

Yes. The PC version of BF4 is much better than the console experience. Granted, the changes aren't that drastic that you couldn't have fun on console afterwards, but the gunplay on PC feels a lot better. If you're in to vehicles and the like, there won't be that much of a difference between the platforms. However, if you love playing as infantry, you won't regret buying BF4 on PC.

Then you are in contempt of all other gameplay so prefer a more limited gameplay only focused on what you liuke. That's not the problem, the problem is when you show your noobism in a thread with a Master.

I have played almost 500 hrs and i would say it is worth it to buy it.

It a lot of fun to play.

I played a lot of hardline and i think its still just a re skin of bf4.

They can call it a game all they want it still is a mod to mel and who gives a fuck about Singleplayer?

Battlefield is about the Multiplayer.

Also if you mean 50$ by the Premiuim edition than sure go ahead, but you can get it much cheaper than 50$ and premium as well.

They most definitely have similarities. They both have vehicles, weapons, people, houses, what ever. When it comes to the game experience I really can't disagree more. The two game modes we have tried is vaaaaaastly different from what we have in BF4, and in my opinion much better designed (for a more casual playstyle). You can go into a Hardline game alone and feel like you're doing a difference, you don't need a full squad of able friends which I often feel like you do in BF4. When you do have a full squad of friends however both games are extremely satisfying. Hardline definitely still had issues when they shut the beta down again, but they were all issues that can easily be worked out before release. Both games are excellent.

The only reason people are calling Hardline a "reskin" is because it's trending to be negative these days, and that's really sad. People for some reason want to be (or at least act) dissatisfied. Trust me, if they had given up the Battlefield branding and just called it Hardline no one would have even suggested it was a BF4 "reskin". They wouldn't have sold as many copies then though.

I mean people really complain a lot about the game. I like it, it's fun. Was it worth 100 bucks? Probably not. But for the money it costs now? Worth it. And don't get hardline......just don't. Everyone, don't get hardline. Make them lower the price!

This:

You can do tons of fun stuff outside of vehicles, but at the end of the day if you want a high KD or a high impact on the playing field as a single player you sit in a tank, a chopper or a jet. Not everyone likes this playstyle, and I personally enjoy infantry warfare more. Hardline is more centered around infantry "warfare" than BF4, and I like that. That doesn't make me a noob. Your comment makes you an arrogant, ignorant individual though.

No offense, but that's the biggest pile of tard iv'e ever read. If you were somehow able to link both game's into a map rotation, restrict it to weapon's that are found in both games and let ppl who have never played BF or heard of it, i can bet you 9 times out of 10 they'd think it's all the same game.

New game mode's and how you approach them or feel while you play them don't automatically make it a brand new game that is in no way similar to a game it's blatantly so similar to, it COULD be labeled as an extensive DLC. Be real.

Jeez. Yes, technically the game modes can coexist in the same game, but the two environments are so vastly different it would make no sense. What so ever.
