Upgrade internal laptop fan?

Mao_Zedong
Go to solution Solved by lani100,

I don't think I could do this, but i am not sure. Would I be able to replace the fan in my laptop with a better one?

Not with a better one nope.

Maybe one that can spin faster but I would recommend replacing the thermalpaste and remove any dust.

as far as i know u can only get the same fan since nearly all laptops get a slightly different form as far as the housing of them goes.

at least i rarely see some that look the same

Noctua doesn't make centrifugal blowers. You can't use axial fans because they would make the laptop too thick. Actually, that's one area where Noctua could really innovate.

I cannot be held responsible for any bad advice given.

I've no idea why the world is afraid of 3D-printed guns when clearly 3D-printed crossbows would be more practical for now.

My rig: The StealthRay. Plans for a newer, better version of its mufflers are already being made.
