Use pcpartpicker.com to manage build, but maybe different monitor I'll help once off mobile and the evga 780 is a bit better and the psu is overkill unless you want SLI in future

What will you be doing with it? Regardless of what you're doing, a 1000w power supply is overkill.

If I was spending $3k on a pc I sure as heck wouldn't have just one decent video card in it.  Also what is up with the 32 GB of ram at $358.68?  I also would scrap the SSD if it meant getting another great video card and improving the monitor I would be using my pc on.  Also like another poster said though what are you going to be doing with this pc?

For $3k I sure as hell would be getting 2 x 780 Ti or higher.  As for the term I used for the GTX 780 as being decent well whatever. Take it whatever way you want to.  It really was no slight against the cards.

Even for SLI you'll be good with 850W. You could get a better version of the 780 and two of them, EVGA GTX 780 SC w/ ACX.

If you're just gaming and doing some light editing, 16GB's is fine. Also motherboards are 90% aesthetics so if you chose the Mark 1 for better performance, you can get a cheaper one. All these saving should free up budget for SLI.

Screw that case honestly OP.  There are definitely cases of similar quality for far less.  The components inside are more what matter.

Example of a case for far less is the case right beside me now for my son's pc.  Antec 1100D for $60+.  I got a really good deal on it.  Make sure you look around before settling on a $189+ case.

Wouldn't go with a zotac gpu tho.

Also a 800w psu is fine.

With 3k I'd sure as hell not give a shit about case pricing.

Actually a person should.  A case can be high end and cost less and by looking for lower cost cases he has more money for important things like video cards, a better cpu and a better display.

Well someone who can spend 3k would most likely choose a case for looks imo, my mate runs a 750D with a 212 EVO and he got the 750D over a cheaper case and a h100i because he said "I like the look of this more"

Well bottom line is for $3k if this system is for any gaming I'd be getting 2 x kick *** cards in there and my monitor would support 1440p or higher.

Do you like playing games with all eye candy on (that means yes having physX maxed for some games)?  If so then make it 2 x 780s or higher.

Anyway I think I have been helpful enough and op you never really told us what the pc is for but hey good luck with your build and once you get it I hope you enjoy it.

Yes it would be really good if op would tell us what he wants. So tell us! :D

As a gaming rig: you will be spending too much money on the RAM, motherboard, and a case  (but you never really need to spend that much on a case). And if it is only for gaming, AMD and ATI tend to be cheaper then nVidia and Intel. But if this is multi-purpose, then I would be able to see why.

Unless you really fell in love with that case. Then if you are wanting to drop the extra money on it, then go ahead! It is your pc.

As and editing rig: The CPU and RAM will be nice. I don't know if the GPU is necessary/not enough/overkill etc. I haven't done any heavy editing. So take everything concerning editing with a grain of salt.

I feel for $2500/$3000 (whichever one it is) you could get a lot more bang for your buck than from what you chose for what you will be doing on the PC.

I really enjoy the look of this case , that is all and was only 161

The 1000 w supply I got for the price of a 850w both gold and 164.99

The main components I couldn't find anywhere for a cheaper price ..

And it was built under 3 k but reg price is 3 k..

I also have the highest tax rate in Canada :(

I did say lol

It was built intent for HD rendering , I like to shoot music videos and cinematic videos .. But want to start PC gaming and upload game footage..

Also a point to be established is I HATE. Upgrading so I was hoping with the extra ram , CPU ,gpu and MB i have I wouldn't have to for a long time... Or do you think I'll have to ?
