Question about painting model figures

kuddlesworth9419

I want to buy this model however it is a model kit and I don't want to pay an arm and a leg to get one pre-painted so can someone show me a good website to look for the correct paints and colours to use on this specific model.

Buying supplies to start painting will break your bank... all those air brushes and lacquer paints are costly and hard to use. I would suggest you to watch many videos and practice on other stuff, lest you ruin your figurine. A local enthusiast/ artist might do it for free and maybe able to guide you in your pursuit.

Well shit sorry for the trouble then. I don't have much time so I might just end up seeing if I can buy one pre-painted. I wouldn't have minded doing a little fine painting but if it's going to take time and more money then I have then I probably won't bother. I have done this kind of thing in the past though but with airfix models. I actualyl had a friend who won some competitions doing his own models. They where pretty damn cool. One of them is in a museum for the air coast ambulance or something in the UK.

Its alright. Pre-Painted models are 5-10$ more than blank ones... unless you are dealing with seriously high quality limited edition stuff. Good Luck in finding something which fits your budget. And congrats to your friend! :)

Well it was a while ago when he won it back in 6th form which is just before university. So yea sometime ago. I did find a pre-painted model but it was quite a bit more expensive.

I don't mind paying that kind of money though. I am struggling to find ways of spending my money on stuff I like. There isn't much I do like other then computer parts, PC games and anime and I don't have much in the way of anime figure (none) so I thought I would venture into it. My brother bought a few marvel figures but marvel doesn't interest me at all.

that's close to 80$ premium for painted model... robbers!

Its nice to have a hobby, but I dislike buying stuff, there is no greater satisfaction than making it myself! Marvel is boring... I would rather read JoJo's Bizarre Adventure again than any Marvel comics.
