http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/83420

This is an Australian Deals site, people post cheaper deals than retail prices.

You would no doubt have a "your country" alternative.

That links shows Powercolor Radeon HD7850 2GB - $179 plus postage

Something like this would suit your needs perfectly and keep to your budget.

Try to find a deal site for NEW parts, do not buy 2nd hand, limited to no warranty, not the latest generation (may be faster) but has more heat output and power reqs.

Maximums - Asus Z97-K /w i5 4690 Bclk @106.9Mhz * x39 = 4.17Ghz, 8GB of 2600Mhz DDR3,.. Gigabyte GTX970 G1-Gaming @ 1550Mhz

Galaxy is having a Fermi GPU clearance event. They have a GTX 570 for $179.99. It performs pretty close to the 660 Ti according to some benchmarks I've looked at. Also includes a 90 day warranty.

GTX 570 performs pretty close to an HD 7850 actually. Saying that the GTX 570 performs close to a GTX 660ti is a dfar stretch.

Yeah after more research that seems pretty true. Don't know what's up with the Passmark results.

Still, the 570 outperforms the 7850 in many titles and is priced lower. One thing to note is that the 570 is more power hungry, but people have managed to run it fine on a 500W PSU.

Actually after the new Neversettle drivers the HD 7850 is faster than the GTX 570.

You can't even get a used 580 for $200 LOL. Plus for $211 you can get a 7870 brand new plus three AAA games. That's not a pity at all but buying a used GTX 580 would be a pity.

How is it a pity to be environmentally friendly while getting a better card?

Yes you can get a 580 for $200, two of them sold on eBay earlier today at 199 and 175.

Anyone trying to sell a 580 for more than 200 is delusional anyway. And anyone buying a 580 for more than 200 should be taken behind the shed.

In case the moderators do not ban me as requested, this is a notice that I have left and am not coming back.

It has always been like this. The GTX285 was still selling for 600$ when the 5000 series came out. Whats your point? We are not talking about a new 580, we are talking about a used one.
