I know Nvidia fanboys will rip me for this, So if you are a Nvidia fanboy who can't reason with anything except hearing Nvidia is great, Then this post is not for you, And I apologize in advance if you get offended, But facts are facts and truth is truth.

Anyway getting to the point, I finally got all my new parts set up, And everything is running nice and smooth. My friend did not want my old i5 750 rig and the GTX 650 Ti, So I took it back home with me, And I set it in the basement, just incase I should ever need it again. Well one day I remembered something about the 650 Ti being a excellent dedicated physx GPU, So instead of letting it go to waste in the basement I decided to put it to good use with my new setup and use it as a dedicated physx GPU. Well I suppose you guys already know were this is going, But the thought never crossed my mind that a comany would do something that childish and petty. You would think they would welcome anyway of selling a product, They could make lots of sales from AMD users buying a GPU to run dedicated Physx, I mean a profit is a profit is it not? But to purposley disable a product that people bought and paid for is just underhanded. The GTX 650 Ti is my GPU,  I paid good money for it, It is my property now and not Nvidia's property, That is pretty arrogent to purposley code software to stop me or anyone from using their own property how they want. And for that I will never ever ever buy another product from Nvidia ever again. You don't do underhanded business like that no matter how normal people claim it is or how many accept it. Because that is not normal and should never be accepted.

Yeah that is nothing to do with nvidia.. but is something the manufacturer implement

I assume this was a pre-built PC originally? I have known MANY manufacturers restrict the use of graphics cards that come included with the PC. It stops them being resold/used in other computers

I seem to remember packard bell doing this ALOT and I bought a PC with crossfire 7970s in and they did not work in another PC

You need an SLI Compatible motherboard for Physx cards... (I think)

its been a pretty long time since hybrid physx actually worked. And while i agree with you that this type of stuff is uncool, physx is basicly dead anyway.

Also you needed hacked drivers...

In short: You have an AMD GPU, want to use a 650 Ti as PhysX card and it refuses to work? Lol..

Wait he has an and Gpu?

Physx is an Nvidia technology that nvidia patented (or something like them having ownership after The other company) so AMD cannot support that. If you had an nvidia card then the issue would be that you don't have an SLI compatible motherboard.

Tough luck, since you might have bought the 650 Ti but YOU DO NOT own the software that the 650 Ti runs.

As much as you'd like to think so, you don't. You simply license the use of it. PhysX is Nvidia through and through, you don't own it.

What did you honestly expect? Using a AMD GPU with a Nvidia GPU at the same time has never really worked, what did you honestly expect?

you don't need an SLI motherboard to have a dedicated physx card.

I'm not sure what the OP is ranting about since he makes little sense, but if he has an AMD card and wants to use Physx, the problem would be the two not talking to one another, why should they? that's not even just Nvidias fault, AMD would also have to allow the two to communicate for that to work which is why modded drivers were used in the past.

Just the fact you can use it as dedicated, doesnt mean Nvidia wants you to do it. Or even amd. Its normal. If you could use AMD 260x for dedicated TrueAudio it would be the same thing. I also hate EA for not letting mod the games. But thats how they role. Need cash flowin.

Anyone who has half brain knows this stuff, and you are saying we are Nvidia fanboys if we dont agree with your theory.

Sorry, i dont argue with stupid. Amd fanboys :D
