Long story short: My motherboard, RAM and processor got fried on power-spike, luckily my newest part(GTX770) survived, trough ways I know not.
Currently I have Corsair H60 processor cooler, which I plan on using with the new socket. Any suggestions on Mobo+processor combo, on a budget of around three- to fourhundread(negotiable)?

MSI Z87-G45 GAMING

Intel core i7 3770k

A 3xxx CPU will only work with a Z77 (or lower tier) board.

I would say get a nice Z97 board and the Haswell Refresh i5 4690.

Asrock Z97 Pro4, and a 4770k (4790k if you can afford).

The Asrock board has a black PCB, z97 chipset, Sata Express, Intel Gigabit ethernet, multi-GPU support, 12k caps, premium alloy chokes, and good sound with Nichicon gold caps. It also has a 3yr warranty.

I don't see why people go with the Asus Hero when this board costs almost $100 and has the same features.

But would people claim it's worth the extra cost?

Would it really give any "bang'for'buck" so to say, to go for 2011 instead, on gaming purpouses?

No, 2011 socket is more of a professional socket for lack of a better word, wasted on a gaming build.
