Star citizens arena commander

clementk

So I just tried the dog fighter or arena commander and I was really disappointed. First there was no indication that I needed to walk around looking for a helmet to put on before I can so anything. And they managed to mess up walking from the hanger module seems to bug out with mouse movement. And then when I finally got all working and started to fight I saw my fPs was at 28 and I when to the options to lower it but here is my problem it does not help.... From very high 1080p to low 800x600 fPs when from 29 to 32?? This after being delayed from 15dec? Really get it together star citizen..

I did not post in video games because lot of people don't go to all the different categories and looked in general and saw nothing.

And I kinda disagree with him on the fact that we should just accept that's it's because it's beta. If you look at what some other indie sets have done with the cryengies or even unity or unreal with no backing. They already got $30+million and after being delayed soo long for the fact that it was buggy and they did not want to release a broken module this is not a beta thing . they can't hide behind that nog with that amount of $ and time beside them.

Never thought contributer would think they are better than someone in the forums. And just because I don't post alot does not mean I am new. Just because you like star citizen don't just blindly defend them . that's wat makes a fan boy.

It's pre-alpha as it says with the giant warning before you download it.

Read the manual and it tells you what to do and read the patch notes

I didn't get that from what he was saying, I honestly don't know what you expect from us.

The games pre alpha and if you go on the site and read CR posts it explains what they are going to do and what's going on.

It's better that they delayed it and took time, just look what happened to BF4

It's pre-alpha because they finally realized that they had to deliver a product and frantically tried to throw this together for the past month or two so they can say they've done more than just make a textured box you can look at your ships in.

The point of it being "Pre-Alpha" is that we're the bug finders, the Guinea Pigs, so to speak. That's what you sign up for when you download the DFM. If you don't like it, don't play it.

On the contrary I've had a great experience playing the game for about 2 hours. OK, the controls are not mapped great and response curves are random and there's tons of stuff to fix. But the flight model generally feels nice, maps look great and I haven't experienced any performance drop even on high resolutions.

I guess with more and more fixes coming the build will gradually become more stable and rich in options.

We have all been waiting too long so some frustration is to be expected :)

Have a great day guys.

Heaven forbid, we've already given them 45 million, suppose it's too much to ask for them to hire their own bloody beta testers instead of getting us to test their shit all the time.

Even selling module passes to the alpha of AC, god I hate the video gaming industry...

You mean, hire over 400,000? Yeah, that shouldn't be a problem. Wide-scale testing in the form of a Pre-Alpha module is the only effective way to spot every bug - those that occur often, and those that are so rare, on small scale testing you'd probably never find it. It generates the most realistic scenario - 100,000's of players playing world-wide. If they can get that nailed down relatively bug-free, then it means moving the focus of employees to other aspects of the game.

That was my thread you linked and i am getting really tired of people flaming this release.  "oh they should have waited" "How can they release something that doesn't work" etc etc etc.  But you were also the same guys screeming for them to just release the game already we want to test it we get that its pre alpha.  And now that you have it you blast them for releasing it.  If you dont like it you can gift your ship to me and never play it again!!!!
