BF4 patch finally fixes netcode issues!!!!

Can someone tell me what net code is?

there isnt anything such as netcode actually, its more of a nickname that people have given to the issues and bug regarding the multiplayer in bf4, they effect the single player but of course no one cares about that.

It may have had something to do with them introducing God and completley changing the whole universe as we knew it in the final moments of the game. It was their attempt at a twist ending and they fucked everything up.

edit: I can't find a spoil tag and don't want to say the ending entirely, but the Leviathan DLC really didn't make it feel like I was talking to God

You mean aside from the fact that apart from your choice of how you look, it completely invalidates every choice you ever made in ME1 & 2, and boils the ending down to a matter of which colour you'd like to see it in?

It's kinda funny because most people chose Male Soldier Paragon Shepard and cured the Genophage, and they complain their choices made no difference. I mean what did you expect? How would your choices have made any difference at the end anyway? The trilogy was over, did you want them to go on a 30 minute narrative showing what you did made their lives better or worse and then have the credits hit?

Took a year to fix Simcity, what's new with EA? I hope they don't screw up Mass Effect 4

they will, and you will still buy it, then yell angrily at the sky "FUCK YOU EA". Repeat process every new game release

I have no clue why everyone hated the ending. I've played through the series five times and love them more each time I do.

people hated it because all the choice you made through the 3 games were meaningless, only galactic readiness did something and that was just mere addition to make people play MP and side quests

this is one of the greatest thing that has happened to me recently, and it happened on this forum, those involved have my eternal gratitude http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/198850-update-alex-got-his-moto-g2-lets-get-a-moto-g-for-alexgoeshigh-unofficial/ :')

i use to have the second best link in the world here, but it died ;_; its a 404 now but it will always be here

That's the worst part.

I never played any of the Mass Effect 3 DLC. The only reason I still had a  console was because of that game. Once I completed it I just got rid of my Xbox and all of that stuff. :P

Please don't do us both a disservice by diminishing the complaint. While they were hyping ME3, they made a point of claiming all of your choices led up to this moment; this was shepherd's swan song, and it would give all of your save files, all of those transfers and all of those hours you ploughed into the game have meaning - and it boiled down to nothing...less than nothing in fact, because they reduced ME3 into a game that could possibly be accused of being more linear than any number of games you could care to mention, and rushed the ending in order to fill the multiplayer component with that all important DLC. The narrative suffered massively because of the multiplayer component.

That's the worst part.

No. Not at all. Because of EA, Activision and Ubi, I no longer pre-order; I no longer pay full price, and I protest with my wallet. They want to treat my custom with the open contempt they display? fine. I won't buy their games until they reach rock bottom prices. They'll lose every time, because I'm that patient.

I disagree completely that the narrative suffered, but you can like it or dislike it, it's up to you. I liked it.

The second one was also a joke. Ever since Halo 3 I don't preorder anything that isn't from Nintendo and I never pay attention to the hype. If I have the lowest expectations possible then the game can't possibly suck, right?

Now that I can agree with. I did, however enjoy Halo Reach. Apart from the multiplayer - but then, xbl is really quite toxic.

Is there a way to check that? I usually have 250ms-280ms playing on European servers. Still very playable.

I play on EU servers with 100 ms, and sometimes it is annoying. 250ms for fps is alot.

I must say that despite all the hype, I haven't noticed a difference. It's not a placebo (or nocebo) because I wasn't even aware that it had updated (origin ran at startup and I presumed it was a CTE update), but it felt no different to before - I still had multiple occasions where I was clearly and definitely shot behind a wall (there might have been some high pingers in the server, I'm not sure). I did look in the options and I'm fairly sure it said HF network thing was on high, but I might have misread it.

250ms is too much. For me in order to have 250ms,i have to join an american server and sometimes it's lower than that. You must not live in Europe,do you? Even if it is playable as you say, there is a high possibility of being kicked.

My ping isn't very good either because the closest server for me is germany. 80-100ms and i see some servers where they say max ping=100ms.

I noticed the change greatly for myself. Are you sure you enabled it? It is in options/gameplay. Have fun! You will probably notice the reduced screen shake and instances of character collisions though.

I will test it objectively tomorrow, but I didn't notice anything. There was a person complaining about high pings at some point in the chat (he got annoying fast) so perhaps that's at least part of the issue. I did only use one server today, but I did have a good (~30ms) ping to it, which is the best I get so you would hope it's not too bad.
