I currently have a RTX 3070 FE with a Ryzen 5 5600. Which should I upgrade first? I was thinking Ryzen 5700X3D for the L3 Cache and decent pound for pound performance however I am unsure with the GPU side of things.

I'm trying to get better fps in Tarkov at 1440p. Full specs listed below:

PC SPECS:
MOTHERBOARD: MSI Gaming PLUS MPGX570
GPU: Nvidia RTX 3070 8GB Dedicated total 24GB
CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600 6-Core Processor at 4.4Ghz
COOLING SYSTEM : LIAN LI HYDROSHIFT LCD 3 FANS
RAM: 32GB DDR4 at 3600Mhz
CASE: Lian Li O11D EVO Tower Case - Black
STORAGE:
Samsung SSD 850 EVO 500GB
Samsung SSD 870 QVO 1TB
Samsung SSD 980 PRO 2TB (M.2)

Tarkov drinks cache, so 5700X3D is going to be a good upgrade if you are already on low settings. 1080p is where it truly ball out the non X3D line of Zen 3 chips though, so consider downscale.

Tarkov is quite CPU demanding, despite the detailed graphics it can be similar to CS2, since you could classify it as an esports game.

I'd only get the 5700x3d if you're getting it cheap. It's getting kind of old at this point. If it's pricey, then I'd just save up for a platform upgrade next year.

Depends on your needs.

If you want higher FPS ceiling or more stable FPS then better CPU like 5700X3D makes sense... if you don't mind sacrificing some graphical settings to get there.

so you would say this upgrade alone would suffice in achieving more stable and better fps in tarkov?

It's a pretty good price I just don't think I'd be investing in a DDR4 based platform.
