Idea for old pc simulator thingy thing thingy

TL:DR; I want to design a DOS computer but im young and barely know how DOS works.

Hello, I (a younger teenager) was thinking about making a sort of old pc, but like specially designed to.. well.. not rot out.

It's just a random thought, but maybe I, or someone, could design like a cool DOS styled computer that uses the actual hardware and components (sort-of) and maybe make an affordable-to-make floppy disk that could be used for the DOS system.

I'd like recommendations for this and also how the heck I should even begin to design it lol. I hope to hear from everyone soon!

Just a heads up, floppies are a finite resource. They're no longer being made as of like 2011. While you can still get some cheap you're competing with governments that still use them. You can still find them for ~$1 per drive though. 5.25" & 8" Disks | Floppydisk.com

I'm not actually trying to be as grumpy as it seems.

I will find your mentions of Ikea or Gnome and I will /s post.

Yeah, that's a huge issue I was thinking about too. I added in a little section in the comment but removed it before I posted it that basically said I could try to use cd's in some sort of "case" that make them look like floppy disks, but, i'd have to figure that whole thing out. Would it be okay if I used cds?
