Rtx 4070

I'm gonna upgrade my rig with a new gpu, a Rtx 4070 and my resolution is 1440p and psu 750w. Which rtx 4070 is the better and smarter choice here, 4070 super, Ti or Ti Super?

4070 ti super is the fastest of those and has more vram, so if your budget allows then yeah get the Ti super.

The more the more, but does it have to be Nvidia?

I may be slightly AMD Biased, but in terms of raster performance, compared to 4070Ti Super:

  • for 100$ more you can get XTX, roughly 19% faster in raster

Total: $899.99
Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available

  • and for 100$ less you can get 7900 XT and achieve similar performance,

  • both cards also offer more VRAM

  • The thing about Nvidia, all the choices are 12GB except the Ti Super variant:

The last 8-10 years I've only had Nvidia, I'm kinda used to it, so I prefer Nvidia 😁

If you already have a GPU that's not keeping up, then I would suggest the best price to performance card you can find within the spec range you are shopping in. Me personally I would go with more VRAM for those more graphically demanding games if you want to run native 1440p and whatnot.

Is 32gb not enough for 1440p? My gpu is a 3070, but would love something more powerful

You have plenty of system RAM for a mid range gaming PC. You also have a pretty good GPU. You could hold off a bit and wait for the next generation of RTX 70 class cards, but by then that 12400F may be a bit underpowered for it. So knowing that, it's more about whether you want to spend the money or not. If you are willing to spend the money, go for the best one that fits your budget.
