What GPU would work best for VR?

Ive not got the biggest budget and am trying to decide what GPU to upgrade to. At the moment, I have a GTX 1660 and want better performance in VR. The 2080 Super and Arc A770 look like good choices (and have lots of vram compared to my current 6gb). Would these GPUs be good? Im using the Quest 1 and streaming with ALVR

Don't get a770. Bought one, and it was one of the worst decisions I've made. Horrible drivers. Maybe suggest a budget. If you can, get a 2080 Ti or a 4060 Ti 16 GB if you want a lot of Vram. A 3070 is good if you are fine with 8gb.

Arc is miserable for vr so DO NOT get it.

Whats the price for the 2080?

like 230 USD used. Its a pretty good deal and should work for vr.

even VR? wouldn't the drivers be fine since VR likely uses more recent tech?

Still sucks. I have a profound hate for intel graphics. wasted my money on them. the only good thing about the GPU was that I got a free game with it. Assassins creed mirage. Not at all close to the 3070 I own now.

Up until 2 months ago or so arc literally couldnt even do vr. As of now the state is it can display vr but it is anything but acceptable.

A 2080 should be ok but its pushing that unit a bit.

That is defo a.limiting factor. 550w is not little but that unit is just quite low end.

Is it the orange label or the grey label?

If orange replace before upgrade.
