Need clarification on 12vhpwr cable please!

My questions is this, on the bequiet psu there is a male to male 12vhpwr cable with native port on the psu and the hpwr cable has the 4 mini pins. On the shift (corsair) psu there is a 2x4 to male 12vhpwr cable which only has 2 of the mini pins on the connector. Why is it missing the 2 mini pins, will this cause any issues, will the rtx 4080s work with this and function like it would on the bequiet psu?

Thank you for the detailed reply, i think i will go with one with the 4 sense pins if i cant find it i will have peace of mind going with one that only has 2 pins. I was worried before but not so much anymore.

Don't worry, people have been using it that way ever since RTX40 was released.

 

But yep, if going with what seems like all 4 pin sockets populated can make your mind more at peace, go for it.
