While i was waiting for my ie80's to arrive I smashed my back up in ears, so i just had to buy another set while i was waiting a few days.. just seems logical to me!

I was browsing in the store and between all the cheap or way to expensive for back up in ears i saw a few options in between.
I know 100€ is a lot for back up in ears, but my ie 80's are 300€ so you don't want cheap 20€'s if something happens to your 300 €'s main set.

Anyway, i looked at these and i thought, it's probarly a bit bass oriented because of ludacris name on it, but since i do listen to a lot of bass intended music, (dance, electro, hardstyle,...)
and i don't mind a bass oriented sound.

First things first the packaging is excellent , it comes with a hard leather case to put them in when not in use or for storage. (bonus points for that so I don't have them lose in my desk when I use my ie 80's)

the inline controles control the soundlevel and play/pause. on my ipod they control the sound output in stead of using their one inline control. So there is just one sound control wich i love. I did had headsets/phones
that would control their volume but i also could adjust my output volume of the device. With these 1 control, much easier.

the things their selves look fantastic, i think they are the best looking once i ever owned. I don't really like the flat cable, but it does help with the looks of the concept.
They perform exactly how i thought. a bass heavy sound. But the sound is also cristal clear wich i really really love. 

I would not recommend using them on full power, because these will hurt your ears and they will damage them when using a long time at high volume.

conclusion:
If i didn't allready ordered my ie80's, i don't think i would buy them after these, these things are amazing. They really show of in bass music, but are also deliver a fantastic sound in regular music.
If you don't mind a bass noted sound and are looking in the range of 100€ i would recommend these.

Have you tried them? Or do you judge by the fact it's made by a music producer/artist?

Ive tried all them brands, but also I'm a person that does not suck into the hype of things, I think that if you compare anything Sennheiser against anything AKG, AKG sound quality is outstanding compared to Sennheiser. We can even say that there are companies that make better products then both those companies as well and there are better brands that you and I have never heard of before but those will be in the price range that only a selected few can buy.

i could buy a 5000€ headphone if i wanted to, just look at my system, i don't go the cheap way. I chose sennheiser IE80 because i've been buying their products for years.

I never heard of soul before until today. I just asumed what kind of sound they would deliver with the ludacris name on it, and they deliverd what i expected.

I also strongly believe that my IE80's will outblast my soul's. It's allways a choice of what do i need, what am i willing to pay for it and where can i get it.

and i've yet to be disapointed

for the record, if some big ass famous name is on it , it sucks? akg works with tiësto...

Also AKG has been around just as long as Sennheiser, since 1945, both companies are great, I just prefer AKG over Sennheiser and think they have better sound quality. As far as Famous rapper headphones, I'm not a bandwagon jumper, if I were to look for headphones in the $400 and under range, I would look else were then rapper artist named headphones. Just my preference, and to each his own right? You like them and I don't, fair enough

You're the one that brought the builds into it, sorry if you feel that way. just sounded like you wanted a pissing contest, or else you would of just said "I can afford 5000€ headphones" and left everything else out of the picture.

 

Also, no offense but people can voice their opinions, if I don't like a certain brand then I will state so, it's not to hurt you're feelings about purchasing them, nor was I trying to do that, my first statement was my feelings about the brand and only my feelings about the brand, nothing towards you nor your purchase.

Nah, hopefully no one will fallow and just have their own true opinions, good or bad about Soul headphones. Thats why reviews are good, because it is based off a lot of opinions and experiences, just not a few
