Why will mc allow igpu to do rtx but not rx 580?

I decided to try out mc rt on an igpu just for fun, and surprisingly it ran at 2 fps. Recently, ive upgraded from an igpu to an rx 580 and wanted to see how rt would run on that, but for some reason mc wouldn't allow me to do that cuz it wasn't supported. Why is this, and is there any way i can force it to use rt?

Because the RX 580 most likely lacks the necessary hardware support. You generally need RX 6000 or above.

 

If the iGPU is based on a newer architecture that would explain why

The igpu is the radeon graphics for the 7000 series. I have a 7700x to be specific.

These actually have some RT parts built in, the 780m, which is in the ROG Ally for example, also has some RT cores

They have rt hardware options your rx580 does not
