Do you feel like you need to upgrade?  What is it this PC can't do that you are looking for in an upgrade?

You should be getting more than 250 fps on average. Are you absolutely sure that you are averaging 250fps?
Can you run the ingame benchmark tool at 2560x1440 all low settings and post a screenshot of the result?

That looks correct for you system specs.  You are averaging 400fps and not 250.

Minimum fps is 241, thats pretty damn good.

If you want better performance then a 7800X3D would be the next step before getting an RTX 4090.

i agree with what ur saying, but someone with these specs is getting on average 300-400 consistnetly no drops, how is this possible? why is my FPS not as consistent and constantly dropping from 400 to like 200 -150, is it because of my ram?? or my motherboard? or what

Can you show me a video or something that shows this.  He might be playing at 1080p as well.

yes its a streamer im watching so its abit hard, but when watching he averages 300-350 https://www.twitch.tv/alem4or6/clip/DreamyFrozenPlumPupper-COshrLzp_MgBQPXP this clip is probs the only way to show

I bet he is playing at 1080p but you can ask him in the chat.

It could also be a game engine limit ( This is not uncommon ).

Its not taking full advantage of your hardware  Your CPU and GPU loads at not at 100% and there could be a bottleneck somewhere that we can't do anything with.

I have the same issue in Hell Let Loose for example.

I saw in his chat that Nightbot said that he is playing at 1080p and not 1440p.

Remember that 2560x1440 that you are playing on runs at 78% more pixels than 1080p resolution! Thats almost double.

This requires a lot of extra GPU power to run at a smooth framerate.

You can try to play at 1080p but as you say.. Its not pretty looking after you got used to 1440p.

Are you not happy with 400 fps average?

What monitor do you have?

There is nothing you can do but lower the resolution to get more frames.

I got a Samsung G7 Oddysey, i dont average 400 thats the thing, its drops alot to around 200 -150 which is the issue, if i averaged 400 id be extremely happy, i just get alot of drops where it goes to around 150-200, i wish i had a clip to maybe show, this is with 1080pimage.thumb.png.fd3c8fbd1c3c16ad1792d754299e1d9a.pngthis is

1080p is all you can try to get more frames.

Nothing else you can do, we can't magically make more frames appear just because you want it .

As mentioned. He is playing at 1080p low settings compared to you at 1440p.

There is well over a 100fps different between 1080p and 1440p with high end cards on Rainbow Six Siege, and as mentioned previously there could also be a game limitation where its not taking full advantage of your hardware. Welcome to computers, its complicated.

Do you feel like you wasted your money on a 7900XTX? Do you ONLY play Rainbow Six Siege?

The 7900XTX will last many more years for high end gaming, its a really fast card.

No Problem 🙂  Its difficult to explain everything in perfect detail without going on a 27 page rant.

I play a game called Hell Let Loose and my CPU would be at 40% while my GPU at 70% and I am getting 120fps for example, why isn't my GPU at 100% usage so I can have more frames!? Whats going on??
Game limitation or system limitation between each component ( They have to talk to eachother, this takes time even though we are talking less than milliseconds ) But it all ads up.  Some games are unoptimized and just doesn't want to run faster or use your GPU at 100%, so this is the games fault and not your hardware.
