Looking for a Programmable keypad that can paste blocks of text.

Continuing from the title, I've seen some QMK and xkeys keypads. The smaller xkeys keypad only does 1000 keystrokes for the whole board. The larger one with over 70k keystrokes is 300+ bucks cad. I need recommendations as I work from home in chat support. We handle up to 2 chats at a time and they just took away our pre typed tool. 

 

What i need

-70k keystrokes would be amazing. Need ~15k keystroke capacity

-Over 20 keys I find stuff to do with more.

- Can be programmed on my personal and plugged in and used on the work system without installing software. 

- $250 and under Canadian is what I am looking for because of ya the economy. 

-USB A or C male connection

 

What would be nice

-light up buttons

- on-the-go programming (pretty sure id need just a keyboard for this but a boy can dream)

I've fallen into a worm hole and believe my best bet is building my own with a raspberry pico with a 16 gig sd card to store the files.  the keypads are cheap and even if I mess up still lots of room before I reach that 300 bucks to buy one new ha ha.
