RAM not functioning as intended.

First of all, wth guys. Yes task manager shows the ram speed, it's called DDR (Double data rate) for a reason. DDR=half dram frequency.

You've set it to 2800mhz.

The profile for XMP is for 2x8gb (because that's what the kit is, and will not work on 4 sticks). Disable XMP. Set frequency to 3200mhz. Set dram voltage to 1.35. Set primary timings and leave rest on auto:

16-18-18-18-38

If it isn't working diable your overclock (set to auto or clear CMOS). Also disable game boost while testing. You can set this after you've got the ram working.

Set to 3200MHz even though the speed is 3000? Also seems as though i can't change any of the voltages manually in BIOS perhaps there is a setting to enable/disable.

This is what it looks like with the settings that you provided, if what it says here is how it's supposed to look, then it should be fine, in that case i just didn't understand how to read the values correctly

yep thats 3200mhz alright

cpuz shows half of the ram speed since thats its actual speed, so the rams are running at 1600mhz but since its ddr they are effectively running at 3200mhz hence why its advertised as 3200mhz

Spoiler

heres an example for me at 3300mhz but cpuz shows 1650mhz whilst bios if this was actually bootable from the bios would show 3300, so basically everything but cpuz shows effective/advertised clockspeed (2x real clockspeed) and cpuz shows real clockspeed

So why does my task manager show 6000MHz and not 3000?

Because you run 6000mhz ram

So is he only running 1600MHz? Which would be 3200MT/s?

He posted a screenshot from CPU-Z, not task manager

He did a task manager screenshot earlier, that showed 1400 too?

Yeah Idk why, but in bios it was set to 1400mhz then
