Hello to anyone nice enough to comment on this posts to help me with buying a PC,

I currently have a gaming PC which I built around 6/7 years ago and I am looking to buy a new one so that I can give my current one to my younger sister.

I do not want to build one this time and have it built for me just for ease and I have decided to go with NZXT mainly due to their H6 Flow case which I have fallen for. I am looking to have a gaming PC that will last me for a long time.

Below is a link to PC part picker where I have put all of the components I currently have in my build from the NZXT site.

Price isn't too much of a concern for me but I dont want to be wasteful, I want to see what peoples opinions are of the current build selected and what improvement could be made and area in which I have not considered.

Currently the NZXT UK site is not the greatest for its selection of components, I have been patiently waiting on their site for a month for the H6 Flow case to come back in stock which is thankfully has now but the GPU section only has 4070s and no 4080s.

Looking online regarding the main differences between the 4070 selected and the 4080 is roughly between a 10-20% performance difference.

Current Setup

My current setup consists of a gaming monitor at 1080p at 280Hz with a PC made up from a EVGA GeForce GTX 1080 FTW GAMING and a Intel Core i7-7700K 4.2 GHz.

If you don't want to mess building it yourself then call around to local PC / laptop repair shops and find out how much they will charge to build it for you if you bring them the components. Less than 150 quid would be my guess. Just remember you want DDR5 6000 CL30 seeing how games benefit from low latency RAM. Replace the 140mm exhaust fan that's included with this case with the 140mm ARGB fan down below.

Hello... I looked over your List for a while and even though you did a pretty good job there were some improvements that needed to be taken care of. Also you had said that you wanted the NZXT H6 Flow RGB Case. I stuck with this but I have not 1 but 2 Builds for you, 1 Intel and 1 AMD. I highly recommend the AMD Version as it will give the the best results while Gaming and it's cheaper too. AMD has the BEST CPUs for Gaming right now and the CPU I'm talking about is the Ryzen 7 7800X3D. It's 3D V-Cache is what makes it the Best. The 7800X3D has 96MB of L3 Cache while Intel is only 24MB. L3 Cache enables the CPU to take over some of the tasks that the RAM would normally do and in turn it Frees up the RAM to do more things. The 2 Builds will be the same except the CPU, Motherboard, and GPU. Other than that the other changes I made from your List are much better M.2 Drives (the Kingston NV2 Drives are really bad) which are Western Digital Black SN770, much better overall and have much better coverage and a better Warranty. I swapped the GPU to the 4080 Super and the PSU for a MSI Model that is A-Tier and is ATX 3.0/PCIe 5.0 Ready. I swapped out the extra Fans you had because the NZXT 140mm Fans come in a 2 Pack with the Fan Hub that is needed for NZXT Fans and a 120mm Fan for the Rear of the Case. Also I got you a Link for a Windows 11 Pro Key so that you don't have to pay Retail for it. Windows is now Free in Install but what you are paying for is the Key. Microsoft wants to charge people over $100 for it but you can find them Online for less than $30.

Please have a look and let me know what you think. I am happy to answer any questions you might have.
