if i remember right the computers on ISS now ancient (more than 8 years old) i wonder which version of windows they were using

why isn't Linux doing better?....I wish everything was available for linux like it is for windows that way I would have dumped windows long time ago.  But in all honesty,  windows 7 64bit hasn't been too shabby.  Windows 8 on the other hand gets on my last nerve.

NASA was looking for a OS that is "stable and reliable".

They opted for Debian 6.
