Assistance with overclocking i9-14900K

Hello LTT Community!

I'm not new to overclocking, however my last system was an Intel 8th Gen, which was a very simple overclock. I spent loads of time finding my sweetspot.

However, now I am seeking some assistance to understand how to properly overclock my Intel i9-14900k, to achive a stable overclock and soild temps.

As I am new to this whole P-Core E-Core architecture.

Specs:

CPU: Intel Core i9-14900K
CPU Cooler: Lian Li Galahad II LCD
CPU Contact Frame: Thermalright
Thermalpaste: Noctua NT-H2
Motherboard: Asus ROG MAXIMUS Z790 FORMULA
Memory: Corsair Dominator Titanium 96 GB (2 x 48 GB) DDR5-6400 CL32
Drives: Kingston Fury Renegade 2 TB (x3), Corsair MP700 PRO 1 TB PCIe 5.0 (OS)
GPU: Asus ROG STRIX GAMING OC GeForce RTX 4090 24 GB
PSU: Deepcool PX1200G 1200W
Case: Hyte Y70 Touch
Fans: Lian-Li SL-INF (Total of 10 fans, 6 intake, 4 exhaust (one is 140mm))

In advance, thank you!

There are plenty of guides on Youtube on how to overclock the 14900k.
I think having someone explain while showing you visually what is done its more helpful.
Of course watch more than one video to get a baseline.

Remember that each CPU might overclock sliightly differently.

It's the same process, only difference is you have three ratios to mess with instead of just two, and the E core overclocking can somewhat be affected by the L2 voltage. You can do fancy stuff like per core overclocks if you feel like as well, though those are usually more effort than it's worth. Generally, you tune the P cores, then the E cores, and the ring at the very end.

Do know that the 14900K has next to no headroom in it however and you'll likely get at most 100-200MHz higher all core. On a chip that does 5.6GHz all core, that's effectively nothing. If you really want to overclock, the memory is where there is headroom and can get you noticeable performance uplifts, though do know that memory overclocking is on average a lot harder than CPU OC.
