Make a video source that plays the newest added video when shown in OBS scene. Instant replay scene

I've been trying to make OBS play the newest video from a specific folder in a video source, but I haven't been successful. While video filters like "Directory Media Watch" seem to offer the solution I'm looking for, I believe they only work for videos created within OBS's instant replay buffer option. I tried applying the filter to my VLC media source folder, but it didn't work.

In my case, using Shadowplay to capture short video clips offers much better recording quality without sacrificing streaming performance or quality. I created a folder for the clips, then created a "Replay" scene. I added a VLC media source using that folder and selected the "Replay" scene, but it always starts playing the oldest video first.
