Questions about headphone amplifiers

Fosh612

For some reason don't understand voltage swings and current spikes and technical stuff like that so I have 2 questions.

1.l have a DAP a hiby r6 3 could safely connect the 3.5 headphone output with a split rca cable to a tube amp and not break the amp because of voltage or current or something? 2. Is it safe to have a smart switch shut off an amplifier from a smart switch that can shut off my phone or something and not damaging the amp whithout physically turning off the amp?

What you are referring to initially is acceptable but not ideal.  In a perfect world you would have only a line level signal going into the amplifier.  Feeding an amplified signal into an amplifier can be troublesome if you were to turn the dap up instead of the amp, you might get clipping.  I have seen that in the portable world some people prefer to double amp because they enjoy the effect, but this is far outside of my wheel house, I've just seen photo's of stacks of portable gear all linked together.  Just be careful that you don't put to much of a signal into the amp.

As to the smart switches, I really don't understand what you mean, again way out of my realm.

Basically I want to have a whole switch turn off the amp when I turn off my PC instead of turning off my amp on and off every time. I have a valuable amplifier and I just don't want to break it for lazy reason.
