Discounts look good (though I still wouldn't buy the 7900X3D) but the price drop under $600 for the 7950X3D is nice. it is the lowest we've seen the 7900X3D but we've had the 7800X3D at $349 before and even the 7950X3D at $560, and considering there's the bundle over at microcenter (for the 7800X3D), if you're near one that's the best option

7900x3D being compelling, but in my testing, only having 6c/12t on CCD0 causes it to spill into CCD1 more often than you'd think which results in lower gaming performance compared to the 7800x3D or a properly configured 7950x3D. Maybe there's a way to prevent that but it would involve disabling CCD1. There's no boost clock benefit of having 2 less cores in CCD0 either, something I've tested down to 2c/4t.

AKA, just buy the 7800x3D or 7950x3D for anyone who's considered the 7900x3D.
