Which E-Mail providers are good?

People usually use Gmail or Hotmail. But which one is the best? You can say other providers other than Gmail and Hotmail.

Protonmail is probably one of the best as it's highly privacy focused and also has nice features like aliases... Though some of its features are hidden behind a pay wall but the free plan is still awesome and supports encryption.

Tutanota is also great but significantly less known though they still offer encryption and also have aliases.

If i was setting up a new personal email for myself today i would go for Protonmail

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...

Builds:

The Toaster Project! Northern Bee!

The original LAN PC build log! (Old, dead and replaced by The Toaster Project & 5.0)

#1. Treat others as you would like to be treated.

#2. It's best to keep your mouth shut; and appear to be stupid, rather than open it and remove all doubt.

#3. There is nothing "wrong" with being wrong. Learning from a mistake can be more valuable than not making one in the first place.

I use KolabNow. $5 a month for the basic plan. It's a company based in Switzerland with a ToS written in plain English. Just a basic email service from a not terrible company with a monetization strategy that you don't have to wonder about.

There's a lot of options. Before you pay anything determine your needs. Personally I think Gmail is still the king for free email. Google quit reading emails and if you disable the tabs feature you won't see as many ads.

If you want a custom domain email then you have a lot of options. Determine how much privacy you want and how important storage is. A few email providers I have used and liked are:

  1. Proton Mail
  2. Fastmail
  3. Google Workspace
  4. Microsoft 365

Whatever you choose just double check and make sure the features all match what YOU need.
