Build upgrade worried about temps

Duti

So pretty soon i'll be upgrading my rig: https://pcpartpicker.com/user/Vladel/saved/#view=9hTmxr

and it'll turn into this: https://pcpartpicker.com/user/Vladel/saved/#view=xcjGjX

*also this is the case since i couldn't find it on pcpartpicker: https://www.pcgarage.ro/carcase/segotep/sg-k5-black/

**The gpu is not final, it just depends on the deals i find atm of buying.

I had a few questions:

1. Any other recommendations besides AIO for cooling (under 50$)?

The case is pretty limiting and also quite hard to replace since i built the desk space for the pc after it (a decision that still haunts me*)

The max height for the cooler in this case is 155mm, but i wouldn't risk buying a cooler that exact height and then having problems closing the sidepanel or smth worse.

2.Any tips for ryzen master to get some better temps?

3. Have you ever had an aio fail on you, and if yes what were the damages?

Yes.

I don't think the AK400 would be a good choice. Make sure to get an offset mount for the cooler you choose.

If it says 155mm, then that's what is ok. There is undoubtedly a bit of wiggle room. Look at Thermalright for decent, inexpensive options. The Peerless Assassin 120 SE is 155mm tall, and will do a good job. Three are lots of other options from many companies. If you check out real review channels, you'll get a feel for what to look at.

I will tell you now that Segotep doesn't have good customer service.

I've been using computers since around 1978, started learning programming in 1980 on Apple IIs, started learning about hardware in 1990, ran a BBS from 1990-95, built my first Windows PC around 2000, taught myself malware removal starting in 2005 (also learned on Bleeping Computer), learned web dev starting in 2017, and I think I can fill a thimble with all that knowledge. 😉 I'm not an expert, which is why I keep investigating the answers that others give to try and improve my knowledge, so feel free to double-check the advice I give.

My phone's auto-correct is named Otto Rong.🤪😂

What do you mean by offset mount?

Thermalright just started appearing in my country's market, but at sthe same price as the others so price wouldn't add a plus to the decision for now.
I went with the ak400 since it has that detacchable top and if things really don't close up i can always take that off and take a breather.
Since i made the parts list i found the ak400 zero dark plus ( the exact same thing, just full black with an additional fan and a fan splitter) at the exact same price as the normal ak400 and that pearless assassin.

As for segotep, i wasn't even expecting something less, i just regret the case since there were much better options around back then and now i have to deal with its limitations for the cpu cooler and psu ( if i get a bigger one than that corsair i might have to remove the hdd drive bays so yeah, another bummer)

Newer AMD CPUs have the main chips ('chiplets') off to one side instead of in the middle of the CPU. In order to take full advantage of coolers designed for chips in the middle, you need an ILM that adjusts the position of middle-oriented coolers so that they are centered over the chips instead of the center of the CPU. You'll get better cooling. I know Noctua provides them (free?), but I'm not aware of which other companies do.

If you don't use this modified offset mount, even the best coolers will be far less able to cool those AMD CPUs.

In contrast, newer Intel CPUs need anti-bending frames as the uneven pressure of the ILMs for (some) 12th and 13th gen Intel CPUs (not sure about 14th) causes the CPUs to warp over time due to the combination of that pressure and the heat. Sooner or later, I'm going to remove my ILM and put in my Thermalright bend correction frame (LGA1700-BCF). Heck, I'll do it now. Shouldn't take more than a few minutes (he says to himself, delusionally). 😆
