I thought that the no flex or bend bracket should have improved temperatures? Mine did absolutley nothing, 2c better at max. Is there anything i could have done wrong?

I removed the stock intel mounting bracket and screwed in the new aftermarket one.

That's about the improvement you can expect.

They do, their improvement just varies depending on the cooler you're using. If you're using a pretty flat water block, the improvement is quite substantial (~5-7C), while if you're on a relatively curved air cooler like the NH-U12S like is listed in your signature, the improvement is going to be relatively minimal (2-3C).

It depends on your system too.

We all get a different cpu shape when mounted, maybe you were lucky and your cpu was pretty flat from the start.

Some pictures of the thermal paste pattern before applying the contact frame would have been interesting.

Those are mine, it seems to me there's more paste in the middle

Update: I loosened the screw to the no flex bracket and temps dropped by around 6c at IDLE.
