Your computer is capable of driving a 240Hz monitor. But the fps you're gonna get depend on the game. Go with 1080p and the 4060 should be able to deliver fairly high fps in most games.

Games like Valorant for example will run 240 fps no problem, but other games like Cyberpunk will probably run closer to 60 fps.

If someone did not use reason to reach their conclusion in the first place, you cannot use reason to convince them otherwise.

Sure, depending on the game and your settings / expectations ofcourse. Many AAA will run at a lower framerate. Are you looking at 1080p?

You can already test that yourself without getting a new monitor, assuming it's the same resolution as your current one. Just play the games you currently play and see what framerates you get. Those will be the same framerates you'll get with your new monitor, because effectively nothing would change except the refresh rate of the monitor. And if the resolutions differ and you want a higher-resolution one, you can attempt to render the game at the new target resolution and just downsample it.

Ark maybe not so much. In my experience this game has pretty bad performance. But Minecraft and Fortnite shouldn't have problems going to 200+ fps.
