550W PSU for temporary use

Go to solution Solved by TatamiMatt,

should be plenty 1060 is only 120W, 7800X3D is only around 90W leaving you near 300W headroom still

Thats a pretty monstrous build up until the GPU, are you planning to upgrade soon? If so you might run into some issues with power but should be fine when you get new one

Hello everyone,

I have to RMA my PSU because of a weird fan noise and the replacement I have on the way might be delayed due to Christmas period and companies are overloaded with orders and such.

I have a Corsair TX550W laying around and I was wondering if it was enough for a couple days to use that one while waiting for the new one.

My specs are:
CPU - Ryzen 7 7800x3d

MOBO - Gigabyte B650M Gaming X AX

RAM - G.Skill Ripjaws S5 32GB DDR5 2x16GB

GPU - Gigabyte GTX 1060 Windoforce OC 6GB

CPU Cooler - BeQuiet Dark Rock 4

Awesome, Yea I am planning on getting a new GPU but i got a great deal on that 7800x3d so i got that first and then the new psu turned out faulty so it has set me back a bit but new GPU will be after new year so the replacement will be here before that for sure
