All I buy are Asus ROG boards. They all work fantastic.

Look into the rog strix x570-e board bios settings not working on certain pages issue. Often the bios settings will be completely disabled or just not fully functional. Say...one page says disabled but in amd OC page u have it turned on and active. Because you have the other page having the same setting as disabled...it's just not active. For example. the PBO settings on the general settings page "a.i tweaker" i leave that on auto and go to the amd sub settings menu's.

i find it absolutely stupid that there are sometimes 2 or 3 pages on a bios displaying the exact same settings. Which can end up actually interfering with each other. So dumb!

In the past, you would use the tweaker menu for Zen 2 and below, and go in the back for Zen 3. It is still true, but to access the settings you need, they would be up front. I guess you can tune the rest of Zen 3 up front too, but I do not. I get better results with the AMD menu with my other CPU's.

An example of my current temps with gaming with Ready or Not

Screenshot taken in what I assumed to be graphically intensive moments. For those curious the black box in bottom right corner is a speech recognition app designed for RoN to give commands verbally 👌🤙.

PBO is on with a x7 modifier, CO is per core -30, auto oc is disabled - i do not want the cpu deciding on its own when to oc and when not to. This setting turned on can result in the cpu deciding to ramp up significantly for no reason opening up a web browser or tabbing in and out of anything - annoying...

All the usual optimal settings that every 5800X3D owners learns to turn off or on have been set. LLC is set to 3 - in that same bios settings page all power limits are set to 140% & related settings on same bios settings page set to extreme.

DOCP - 3600mhz - 1800 FCLK.

With tightening of air gaps and making the tube more secure I have decreased idle temps to an absolute bonkers level. If i can somehow manage to secure the tube inside my pc to reduce air gaps from intake to cpu I think I'd have a further decrease in temps.

Same parameters as before in an earlier post.

Running fans at 2500rpm as i assume most AIO's have their fans running somewhere between 2-3k rpm.

I'm now trying to brainstorm a way for the tube going from intake to cpu fan to be more secure & airtight. I don't have access to a 3D printer so I will have to make do with more magyvering.

Anyone have any ideas?

I'm thinking I could wrap Velcro around either end of the tube like I did the big tube & find a spot to secure or jam a small strip of Velcro somewhere inside & attach it the tube to secure it similar to how I secured the tube to my intake ...but where. Very fiddly lol 😮‍💨

Make a simple wooden frame that can be connected to both the fan's frame and the tube?

I've been using computers since around 1978, started learning programming in 1980 on Apple IIs, started learning about hardware in 1990, ran a BBS from 1990-95, built my first Windows PC around 2000, taught myself malware removal starting in 2005 (also learned on Bleeping Computer), learned web dev starting in 2017, and I think I can fill a thimble with all that knowledge. 😉 I'm not an expert, which is why I keep investigating the answers that others give to try and improve my knowledge, so feel free to double-check the advice I give.

My phone's auto-correct is named Otto Rong.🤪😂

I have found a way to make things more secure and more airtight. Not much space at all. Velcro is amazing 👌.

Just using my normal fan curve I have setup I'm now getting 24-25 degree idle without having to ramp up the fans to silly levels.

God of War is getting anywhere between 45 - 51/52 degrees.

Cyberpunk is getting 50 - 55 degrees.

If anyone would like to see a particular game for their own comparison I'm more than happy to provide 🙂.

I'm finally at a point where I feel I've done as much as I can with what I have.

Next would be the gpu...but after all this I don't think I can be arsed haha.

ADHD is a blessing & a curse sometimes haha.

I've had this idea brewing for quite some time. Various tech/comms jobs I've had over the years have given me the knowledge & ability to be able to F around & test ideas or theories to see what's possible in regard to I.T stuff.

I have applied the same principles to my Unraid server. Things I've done with it often make ppl ask why or left them scratching their head.

I have enough I.T, comms & tech knowledge to be able to mess around & try things. Not enough learnt experience or common sense to stop. 😂

For the sake of being thorough i also have a screenshot of my gpu stats in GPU-Z.

I have the Asus Tuf 3080 v2 with the bios of the OC version of this exact same card flashed onto it. Only difference is a 30w power target from 320w to 350w. GPU handles this easily. 😄

I've uploaded some gameplay to utube showing temps for more thorough proof of my optimisations in action. I have done further tweaking but it's been more with individual fan speeds trying to optimise airflow and lessen turbulent air.

Lemme know, please.

I've got another upload on utube giving a brief showcase of what I've done.

The bottom front panel intake fan has been separated from the others above it so I can give more airflow to the GPU.

I've done my best to try & sync up the GPU fans, the two below the GPU & the bottom front panel intake fan to attempt a more consistent airflow & hopefully not much turbulent air to give the GPU better access to cool air.

Need to jank something? Cardboard, velcro, painters' tape & gorilla double sided 3M tape are your best friends. Ask me how i know.

I Literally can't fit a better air cooler in my pc - Barely a centimetre in clearance at the glass panel (Won't go AIO - I am steadfast on that).

As far as I'm aware the NHu12a is the best cooler for its size.

No - I'm not buying a bigger pc case lol.

To actually answer you properly - I've never needed a better cooler. The Nhu12a has always been solid enough for my 5800X3D, never thermal throttled ever under normal circumstances (gaming). It would thermal throttle doing synthetic benchmarking with stock bios settings & fan profiles. I really honestly don't care for buying bigger/better/stronger.

i've engineered my way to a solution i never really had a problem with in the firstplace simply because i wanted to see if i could lower temps. Not only have i done that but i've lowered my overall temps by a F**king stupid 15-20 degrees celcius on average which is absolutely insane. All it took was a $75 AUD ducting kit from my local Bunnings, tape & velco. How insane is that.

See my comment there. 😉

I wasn't trying to be mean 🙂

He just thinks a better cooler would mean a huge chonker cooler.

Meanwhile that is not the case at all.
