Rtx 3080 Gaming Oc High gaming temps

Silencix

Hi all, I have a Gigabyte 3080 Gaming OC, the temps are too elevated. I changed the thermal pads and the thermal paste.

Any advice?

Thanks.

All the best.

IS that idle? if so it seems high. Did you check for example make pictures how the thermal paset and pads looked before taking everything off? To make sure the placement of the pads and the amount of thermal paste is the same.

No, that image is in game temps. Yes, I think the thermals and the thermal paste is ok.

Memory junction temps are too bad?

First image says 112C which looks rather high.

What were your temperatures before you disassembled the graphics card? Was it better or worse?

I have taken apart some video cards before and have notice the thermal pads some times don't make good contact. You would normaly see the pads with some squished shape of the component it was pushed up against. It's good to take some pictures with the thermal pads still on or how they were arrange. Measuring with calipers helps, but some areas you may need to improve with different size pads yourself. There are some video cards that used 2mm thich pads, because the cold plate is just too far which may not be good to begin with.
