Ryzen 7 7800x or Ryzen 7 7800x3D

I've had my current CPU for about 4 years, the Ryzen 5 3600 and it has recently been getting slower and dying. I was looking to take advantage of the black Friday deals and get a new CPU and I cannot decide between the two, I have a 3060ti and 128 GB of ram. Would this pair with my current set up well?  it seems that the 7800x is much more popular, but it the 7800x3D is better? Help!

You have an R5 3600 with 128GB of RAM??

7800x3D and 3D v-cache in general is wonderful in any multiplayer game with the way CPU draw calls on player positioning works. Generally you'll see far higher minimum framerates and therefore a higher average framerate while also being a lot smoother. I test this myself with the 7950x3D, which I can reconfigure to the 7800x3D or 7700x with a restart.

Unless you've got a really low end B450 motherboard, a drop in 5800x3D and a better GPU would probably be better suited than jumping onto AM5.
