recently Started To build a house :)

Xsilent(X)

It's just like real life Minecraft!

Seriously though it would take me so long to just get started... I'd be so stressed out about getting those foundations perfectly geometrically aligned and oriented.

The single biggest problem in communication is the illusion that it has taken place.

Me having training in Autodesk Inventor and Revit....

I would have my whole house modeled and probably make it a map for a game like GMOD to get a perfect idea of how it would turn out :)

It also would help that my dad is a landscaper and a contractor!

Wait a minute

Damn houses everywhere are expensive...

Specs: 4790k | Asus Z-97 Pro Wifi | MX100 512GB SSD | NZXT H440 Plastidipped Black | Dark Rock 3 CPU Cooler | MSI 290x Lightning | EVGA 850 G2 | 3x Noctua Industrial NF-F12's

Bought a powermac G5, expect a mod log sometime in 2015

Awesome!

Make sure there's plenty of ethernet connections throughout the house and or have tubes going everywhere so pluggin in cables later would be easy.

Best of luck, keep us updated.

So many things I could write here... things like this.

Quick question, generally here in North America houses are built using wood framing. How does a brick and mortar house compare to the structural stability during earthquake?

Here we use the concept of shear walls to account for this, although I am not entirely sure what the analogous of shear wall would be in brick construction?
