I know he lives in the Vancouver area and in this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=_EMhR6cUN8Y#t=400 he mentions a fibre box. Just curious, pretty sure it was mentioned before on one of the WAN shows that he got a fibre line just can't remember which episode and what company it was.

Thanks everyone!

Why can't we get fiber that fast? T.T (damn nsa)

Well, we have Google Fibre and Verizon FiOS, Google Fibre goes up to 1024Mbps down/1024Mbps up and FiOS goes up to 300Mbps down/125Mbps up. If I remember correctly Linus only has like 100down/100up.

Problem is that google fiber is only in select places, and Verizon is capped up the arse :/

I fix computers and computer accessories... sometimes... when I want to...

Why are the ISPs so different around all of Canada

Not sure, probably has to do with regulations...

What I would wonder is why us Canadians get raped up ass with prices, taxes and even shipping + customs and duty fees when ordering from another country...

So many times have I wanted to get something, and then not being able to get it because of rediculus shipping and tax prices.

I understand Taxes on products that are under 100$, but how often do people buy products for over 100$? Not very often ofcoure...

Us Canadians get ass raped when theres anything to do with any sort product

Rant over/

They're actually the largest ISP's in Canada. Though they're mostly in the east, iirc.
