Is this Motherboard any good? Am2+ Mobo.

Hey guys, Im still rocking on AM2+ platform and i was thinking to stick with it for now to get the most out of my Cpu (Amd Athlon x2 7750 Black Edition). So i came across the motherboard (Gigabyte MA785G-UD3H) and i've heard rumors that my CPU is capable of being unlocked to 4 cores, and my question is will this motherboard actually help me to unlock those 2 disabled cores?

And yes i did find a seller selling this motherboard.

That motherboard doesn't support your CPU.

Click on "Support and Downloads" then "CPU Support List".

The motherboard is AM2+ so is my CPU, it will work. and please check again i checked just now, 'Athlon X2 7750'

My bad. I scrolled to the bottom. AM2+ is above AM3 and I misread AM2+ as AM3+. My brain isn't working.

Athlon x2 7750 and 7850 are locked Phenom first generation CPU-s. But they are not as easy to unlock like modern Athlon II x3 or Phenom II x2/x3 parts, there is a high chance you won't get an ulocked CPU. And if you manage to unlock (and stable), these CPU-s are weak even when unlocked. I think your time to upgrade the platform has come.

Yeah your right, i thought about it again and upgrading to a better platform is better.
