Never understood why they link to some of this shit. Who wants an i5 6500 and 8gb of DDR4 2400mhz??? What could you possibly hope to gain by having an affiliate link for that?

I really want a PowerMac G4 Cube signed by Linus to sit on my desk. I work for a company that may or may not have been involved in the creation of this thing and my coworkers would love it. I’d pay going rate or donate to charity. Linus, please message me to make a deal!

Gotta give it to Jordan here:

* Competent choice in processor, storage, GPU, RAM. I wouldn't have chosen that display, but what the heck, I'll go for it

* Clearly hit 100fps in Crysis.

* Way cuter than Linus. (+1000 points)

The roto scope transition at 5:50 was so clean I had to go back and see it a second time. Shoutout to the editors!

Maybe some people didn't remember the specs and wanted to see what they were??

Or what if someone wants a budget build??

I love making PCPartPicker lists.

Do you work for Motorola or IBM? The AIM Alliance (Apple-IBM-Motorola) made the PowerPC G4 CPU.

Then buy used, plus, those processors aren't good even used. That RAM is utter dogshit when you can get 16gb of ddr4 3200 for 40$ nowadays.

Very enjoyable video. I'm voting for Jordan because Linus went overtime to finish his build plus Jordan had buzz with him.

This video was a bit like Junkyard Wars / Scrapheap Challenge but with aging computer parts. I like it!

Jordan's PC was better, but Linus had better accessories.

I sold my soul for ProSupport.

About the Samsung monitor and its image : I had the same OSD on my TV so they should be about the same era, and the HDMI input was a disaster ... UNLESS you renamed the input to "PC", and then everything was perfect.

No tweaking can salvage it without this, I tried.

bit of clickbait and messy video.
but I guess the banter works, but feels like quality is slipping.

Where is the clickbait, they are litteraly going through a pile of e-waste or e-waste adjacent computer stuff and building a computer and gaming on it. The title clearly describes what the video is about.

skipped a bit of the video, but how an 3070 is old or e-waste? I guess if you mean old and relatively new stuff in a pile while trying to make a video out from what one finds from general content around? and yeah calling it clickbait might be a bit too much, just some things felt a bit off.

I liked the scrapping a computer together concept, but it felt kinda childish. Linus was picking speakers and printers while Jordan was grabbing a GPU. It felt like he was just putting on a show to lose so that they can make a video where someone out-techtips the linus.

There will be plenty of people who found it enjoyable, I just personally found it too be a little too kid's TV show-esque for my taste. But his videos always have that energy. This felt just a little less Tech Tippy than some of the more technical things they do.

I keep seeing that Fat PS3. My god please someone check the Model Number and if it works. If it's fat 60GB launch day model with the storage media slots then it's potentially worth a lot of money due to its backwards compatible. Even if it's dead, please do not send it off to e-waste, sell it as parts.

Given some members of the staff are into retro consoles and stuff related to that I think that they wont send it off to e-waste.

I think Linus said on the last WAN show they plan to sell "loot box style" where the staff will sign the product you buy but you don't know what you're going to get.

I think this was a great chance for a Channel Super Fun video.

Linus knows too much about hardware to make this battle interesting to me. It would have been hilarious seeing Denis and Sarah fight over a pc part that isn't even compatible with their build 😄

Overall Linus came out on top - I don't know if he realizes that the Apple Pro Speakers he has are Harman Kardon :P
