Side Note: California Chrome won the Kentucky Derby (part 1 of the Triple Crown)

 

I am honestly favoring CC (California Chrome).  His back story is great and he is 5-0 with Victor Espinoza.  His wins at Santa Anita were very impressive and even Victor said once he grabbed the lead he held CC back because he knew he had clinched the Derby. He said he was saving CC for the Preakness and I think we might see something special today.  People say how CC had the worst Derby time win in the past 40 years, but I think it's because Victor is playing his cards right.  I called CC pulling on the last turn by 8 length.
