forgot windows 7 user password

jer0me100

Hi guys, my younger brother has forgotten the password for his little HP desktop and isn't able to log into the computer anymore. He has racked his brain trying to remember the password but is coming up blank. I then tried to enter safe mode so that I could change the password with the administrator account but there wasn't one. He also doesn't have a password reset disk. I'm completely out of ideas and have no idea what to do. Any suggestions?

Thanks

Did a quick google search. This site has multiple options you could try: http://pcsupport.about.com/od/windows7/f/forgot-password-windows-7.htm

If you have a Windows 7 installation DVD on disc or flash drive, you could try this method: http://pcsupport.about.com/od/windows7/ht/reset-password-windows-7.htm

This one looks promising as it pretty much only need the installation disk.

I always keep a copy of Trinity Rescue Kit on a flash drive in case any of my friends have this problem. Its a super tiny flash drive and I keep it in my wallet. Always there when I need it ;) B)

I agree with you, and I have tried. Now I want to share another way to reset Windows password for those who forgot Windows password. I have forgot Windows 7 password on my HP laptop. I have no disk, and I used this program named "Windows Password Recovery Tool 3.0" which is proffessional, it helped me regain my lost password, you can use this program to reset Windowws password in just three steps

1.Download(http://www.windowspasswordsrecovery.com) this program and install

2.Burn it to CD/DVD/USB

3.Reset Windows passsword

It's so simple, isn't?

i tend to keep Hiren's Boot Disk with me wherever i go. never know when you'll need it. comes with NTPass remover, which in MOST cases, will simply remove the password on any user account.  also comes with Konboot and a few other handy resources
