27 inch monitor recommendations?

I am currently looking for a monitor with 27 inch or larger screen size. It has been a while since I shopped for a monitor and it seems like this segment has gotten pretty competitive.

My budget is ~$400. I have been looking at LG 27GP850, MSI Optix G274QRFW, and various offerings from Asus and Gigabyte (e.g., ROG Strix XG27AQ, ROG Swift PG329Q, GIGABYTE M27Q-PRO, etc.) and they all look pretty good.

32" 1440p has a pixel size similar to 24" 1080p. So, if you're used to that pixel size and viewing distance, I'd recommend a 32".

With a 27" 1440p you'd have to view it from a closer distance to get the same text size.

if the m27q-p is cheaper than the 27gp850, get the former, if they are the same price, get the latter. 32inch panels tends to have slower response time vs their 27inch counterparts.

1440p 27".

For 32" I would go to 4k.

Because pixel density.

The LG 27GP850-B would be my recommendation if you can get it around §300-350. Great value and an overall good mid-range monitor.

It seems like I can get 27GP850 for about $50 more. Do you think the price difference is small enough to go for the latter?

for 50 it's a tough call, the 27gp850 will look better side by side, if u are in a bright room go for the LG, if ur in a dark room then i recommend the m27q-p

I would suggest go for LG 27GP850, compare with Gigabyte M27Q P, it is slightly better also.

 

Recently Asus monitor many issue so I will not recommended. Also I had buy twice Asus monitor and both not very impress me due to firmware bugs and I sold it both after a month or two usage.

 

As for screen size vs resolution, I suggest 

• 1440p - 27"
• 2160p (4K) - 32" ~ 42".
